What about the quality DVDVideo

DVD which is actually using MPEG-2 format. Both image and sound generated by this format is much better than a CD or VHS. However unfortunately sometimes to save on production costs rather than MPEG-2 format gained but MPEG-1 format.

MPEG-1 format has a quality that is comparable to MPEG-2. MPEG-1 quality similar to a VHS. MPEG-2 format using a compression system that removes lost Compression information is not important, as some areas of the picture has not changed at all, or eliminate some of the information would not be caught by human eye.

Audio quality is also owned by a high-quality DVD. Much better than CD audio, for audio on DVD using the size and the sampling rate is greater than CD audio.

On DVD Video, audio file does not become one with the image file. And audio quality that is owned by the same audio on DVD-quality video available at the theater, the multi-channel surround sound using Dolby Digital. Or DTS. In terms of compression, Dolby Digital or DTS can have the same quality or even better than CD audio.
