What is meant by Region code

Any DVD Player that sold in an area will be equipped with an area code. Similarly, the DVD is produced which will also be equipped with area code depending on the allotment where the DVD will be distributed. At the time of DVD inserted into the DVD player and will be run, it first checks the player code.

MULTIMEDIA If different then the movie will not play. Therefore DVD that is intended for the European region have not played with the player that is intended for the Asian region. Code contained on the DVD is not a form of encryption, but I for one byte of information only. Here is a division of the DVD:

1: U.S., Canada, U.S. territories

2: Japan, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East (including Egypt)

3: Southeast Asia and East Asia (including Hong Kong)

4: Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, and Caribbean islands.

5: Eastern Europe (including the previous Soviet Union), Indian Subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia

6: China

7: Special (in order) 8: Special cross International (on airplanes, cruise ships, and the like) If the DVD not equipped with a region code, then the DVD can be played on DVD players anywhere. Region code itself is usually only intended for DVD Video and DVD Game only. DVD Audio and DVD ROM are given almost no region code.

But the region now has its own code can be hacked with the DVD Player itself using additional chipped to hacked code is specific to them. The addition of these chipped itself of course would eliminate the guarantee on your DVD player, because this is an action that is not legal
